This past weekend marked the inaugural Rocky Hollow Farm Horse Trials, hosted by Mitteleider Eventing in Kuna, ID. As a locally-recognized event, this is just a great way to start getting involved in eventing without all the expense and stress of hauling long distance for us locals.

WSH had a good representation–7 clients showing, plus another one riding in the post-show schooling and we brought a spare horse home. So much excitement!

As with all shows, there were highs and lows. Some particularly fun things:

1) Ali and Zephyr completed their first BN trial (as far as I know) and looked great doing it.

2) Stephanie B and Whistle Me a Tune ran clear at intro and won the dressage. Look for them rocking the BN their next time out.

3) Zoe and Timmy overcame some issues and had a great schooling round on the BN course. They’re off to Utah now, where I’m sure they are better than ever.

4) I made it to yet another show this year (!!) and this post just wouldn’t be complete without a picture of the cutest horse on the course.

They were learning moments for everyone, but it was a good time. Look for us at the Boise River dressage show this weekend or Aspen Horse Trials in early September. If anyone sees the rest of the summer, let me know where it went.
