Wasatch Sport Horses is looking for a full-time traveling groom to join international event rider Stephanie Goodman on her journey through top competitions across the U.S

It's more than a job - it is a lifestyle surrounded by excellence, ambition, and world-class eventing. From Florida winters to West Coast events and an Idaho summer base, you'll be part of a high-performing, supportive team that prioritizes exceptional horsemanship, sportsmanship, and care.


  • Home Base: Eagle, Idaho Winter in Ocala, Florida

  • Full-Time, Salaried Position

  • Housing Included

  • Travel Required

  • Riding experience a major plus



WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Experienced Horseperson – Confident caring for high-performance horses, including grooming, feeding, wrapping, and cooling out.

  • Willing Road Warrior – Available to travel seasonally with the team to shows across the U.S.

  • Competent Rig Driver – Experience with large truck and trailer preferred (CDL not required).

  • Detail-Oriented Groom – Skilled in clipping, braiding, turnout, and competition prep.

  • Capable Horse Handler – Comfortable lunging, hand-walking, and managing fit horses.

  • Basic Medical Know-How – Able to administer medications and handle injury care.

  • Organized Barn Manager – Strong in time management and maintaining a clean, efficient environment.

  • Professional & Positive – Great attitude, team spirit, and excellent communication.

Wasatch Sport Horses (WSH), is a ten acre boarding and training facility owned and operated by Stephanie Goodman and Joshua Sylce. Specializing in three-day eventing, hunter/jumper, and dressage in Eagle, Idaho, we provide a safe and supportive environment for horses and riders to thrive and reach their goals together. Our services encompass all of the needs of a serious equestrian, including training and coaching both at home and on the road, as well as the acquisition and sale of horses.

Eagle, where we’re based, is a lovely, horse-friendly town just 25 minutes from downtown Boise. WINTERS IN FLORIDA


THE WILLISTON HOUSE

A small string of horses and riders accompany Stephanie and her team in Florida each year for continued winter training. Known as the “Horse Capital of the World,” Ocala offers world-class facilities, consistent sunshine, and a thriving competition calendar during the off-season everywhere else.


From schooling shows to international events, the area is packed with opportunities to stay sharp, gain mileage, and connect with some of the sport’s top riders and trainers. With endless turnout, top-tier resources, and a community that lives and breathes horses, Ocala is the ultimate winter training ground for serious equestrians.

MORE ABOUT STEPHANIE GOODMAN

Stephanie is an international jump, dressage and eventing competitor, graduate “A” Pony Clubber and USEA Certified Instructor through CCI** (ICP level III), USHJA Certified Trainer Hunter, Jumper and Equitation.

Stephanie's practices are based in on good horsemanship, stewardship and love for the sport and the people dedicated to it.
